As I set up to photograph this waterfall as a simple landscape shot, a kayaker came over to apologize that his friend was about to kayak over the falls. You never knew what was going to happen next in New Zealand. I made this photo by setting the shutter to continuous, or “burst” with a high shutter speed to freeze the action. I then took each photo captured on burst, stacked them on top of each other, and erased each layer above the other to expose “5” separate kayakers.
