I swan with Dusky Dolphins off the coast of Kaikoura. You get let off a vessel in the open ocean near a dolphin pod, hoping they’ll swim near you. To entice them you have to seem interesting by making noises and swimming oddly. The water was murky and the dolphins pass by very quickly, so when they do come near, it seems as if they burst in from out of nowhere and disappear again quickly.
