These two Bull Elk were sparring in Rocky Mountain National Park in a snowy November landscape. At this time the rut is long since over and Bulls have formed bachelor herds of all males. Though sparring isn’t as aggressive as during the rut when bulls are guarding cows, gentle sparring still establishes dominance in the herd. As Winter progresses, points start to break off, causing lopsided antlers.
