I photographed this heard of Bighorn Sheep in early November shortly before the rut. At this time Rams and Ewes form large herds, but they haven’t yet begun head-butting or mating. I held my lens on these two rams that were standing beside each other in case any action broke out. For this split second they both crossed muzzles to create this peaceful composition.
